How many days do you need in Rameswaram?
Most visitors need one full day for the island and Dhanushkodi. Two days give an unhurried pilgrimage.
One day
Start at Agni Theertham at sunrise, finish darshan by mid-morning, drive to Dhanushkodi and Arichal Munai before noon heat, and see Pamban at sunset.
Two days
Keep day one for the temple, the 22 theertham bath and the island shrines. Use day two for Dhanushkodi, the Kalam Memorial and Pamban at an easy pace. Better with elders.
Three or more
Add Madurai (≈175 km) or Kanyakumari (≈310 km), or combine both on the classic temple circuit.
